Sometimes a situation becomes too complex to see clearly from the inside. Personal relationships, family, business, money, professional advisers and important decisions can all become intertwined. You may already have excellent specialists around you and still feel that nobody is looking at the whole picture.

That is where I come in.

I work alongside individuals facing complicated situations where there is no simple answer. I help understand what is really happening, identify what may be overlooked, connect the different pieces, challenge assumptions and determine practical ways forward.

Sometimes the problem you first see is not the problem that ultimately needs solving. I ask questions, look at the wider picture, test assumptions and pay attention to inconsistencies, missing information and the interests of the people involved.

Before looking for the solution, I want to be sure we are solving the right problem.

HOW I WORK

I do not replace lawyers, financial advisers, accountants, therapists or other specialists. When specialist expertise is required, I work alongside the appropriate professionals or help identify the right expertise for the situation.

My role is to remain independent and keep sight of the whole picture while each specialist continues to handle their own area of expertise.

WHEN SPECIALIST EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

My way of thinking has always been to look beyond the obvious problem. I ask questions, notice when something does not quite add up, connect information that may initially seem unrelated and look for what may be missing from the picture.

Over the years, life has given me experience across very different situations and environments. I have been closely involved in complex personal, family and business matters, working alongside lawyers and other professional advisers and dealing with situations where relationships, business interests, money and important decisions became intertwined.

I learned that a problem rarely exists in isolation. A legally sound solution may not solve the family problem. A business decision may have consequences nobody has considered. And sometimes the problem everyone is trying to solve is not the real problem at all.

I do not pretend to have expertise I do not have. My value lies in looking at the whole situation, asking the questions that need asking and helping determine a practical way forward.

MY PERSPECTIVE

If you are a lawyer, private banker, family office professional, financial adviser or another trusted professional and you have a client dealing with a complex situation that extends beyond your own professional remit, I can work alongside that client while you continue handling your area of expertise.
